4. Parcel delivery, sender obligations

When using klik's parcel delivery service, you as the sender acknowledge and agree that:

  • You will accurately declare the item type, weight, and package size when placing an order.
  • The contents of your parcel comply fully with klik's prohibited items policy. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to, hazardous materials, weapons, illegal goods, live animals, and valuables. See the full list at klik.delivery/prohibited-items.

All orders placed through klik are subject to service availability and operational capacity. Payments may be made via supported digital wallets (such as Telebirr, M-Pesa or CBE Birr), cash on delivery, or other methods listed in the app at the time of checkout. klik reserves the right to:

  • Cancel any order in cases of suspected fraud, operational issues, or policy violations.

klik strives to deliver parcels within the estimated timeframe displayed at the time of booking. Delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by:

  • Traffic conditions or road closures.
  • Adverse weather or other force majeure events.
  • Incorrect or incomplete address details provided by the sender.
  • Recipient unavailability at the time of delivery.

klik is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In the event a delivery cannot be completed, our support team will contact you to arrange a resolution.

Customers may cancel a delivery order within a short window after placement, provided a rider has not yet been assigned. Once a rider is assigned and en route to the pickup point, cancellation may incur a partial fee.

Refunds, where applicable, will be processed to your original payment method or klik wallet within a reasonable timeframe. Orders that have been collected by a rider and are out for delivery are generally not eligible for refunds, except in cases of service failure attributable to klik.

8. Liability for parcels

klik provides a delivery facilitation service and is not a common carrier. Our liability for lost or damaged parcels is limited as follows:

  • klik's maximum liability for any single lost or damaged parcel is limited to the standard declared value, subject to the cap stated in the app at the time of booking.
